Greetings family! I hope that you will pardon the "under construction" nature of the Kelley and Lora blog. Given Kelley's impending political involvement, I had to start over with a blog that doesn't have first and last names, etc. and isn't so easy to google. Anyway, great news! Kelley officially announced this morning at the Jackson County GOP meeting that he will be running for the Georgia District 47 State Senate seat (the one the Ralph Hudgins is vacating), which includes most of Jackson, Clarke and all of Oglethorpe, Madison, Barrow, and I think maybe part of Elbert Counties. We are ecstatic! Most of the summer has been devoted to deciding if this is the right thing and the right time, so we ask your prayers and support over the next year of campaining, fundraising, running around like crazy, and working hard to keep it all together.
In other news, school in Hall County starts on Monday. I will be at the helm of one of two fifth grade classes at World Language Academy. My team is wonderful and I already know that this school year is going to be fantastic.
Susan, I hate to report this, but the tomato plant has not faired any better at our house than at yours. However, I think that could be from lack of tlc like the rest of my formerly beautiful yard. I am hoping to make up for it in my fall and winter plantings.

Wonder if some cool weather veggie could be planted in it around mid Sept? Don't know what kind that would be unless it's a lettuce. Maybe I need to research that! Save the hanger for me in case. Might be a homeschool project!
